About Traveler’s Table

Traveler’s Table is the newest concept from Challis and Lauren Hodge, founders of Taste Food & Wine Group. For years, our work has been guided by a simple belief: food and wine have the power to bring people together. Through Taste on Elm and Taste Cellar & Pantry, we have sought out foods, wines, and ingredients from small producers whose products reflect care, craftsmanship, authenticity, and a sense of place. We believe that anything worth putting in your body has a story worth sharing.

Through Conserva, we explored the culture of Spain and the traditions of gathering around shared plates, conversation, and hospitality. We were drawn to the way food and wine naturally create connection, turning ordinary meals into memorable experiences. Along the way, we realized that the idea was always bigger than any single cuisine, country, or concept. Across cultures and throughout history, people have gathered around tables to celebrate, learn, share stories, preserve traditions, strengthen relationships, and discover common ground.

Traveler’s Table was created to explore that larger story. Inspired by the foods, wines, traditions, cafés, markets, music, art, and everyday rituals of the world, Traveler’s Table celebrates both the diversity of human culture and the common threads that connect us all. It is a place to gather, discover, learn, share, and leave feeling a little more connected than when you arrived.

Food, Wine, & Discovery

At Traveler’s Table, curiosity is part of the experience. Our menus draw inspiration from the movement of ingredients, techniques, traditions, and ideas across cultures throughout history. Some dishes may feel familiar. Others may introduce you to something entirely new. We believe that learning and discovery make food more meaningful. Every menu, every wine list, and every gathering is an opportunity to explore, ask questions, share ideas, and discover something worth bringing back to your own table.

Food and wine are among humanity’s oldest ways of sharing culture, preserving traditions, and connecting people. A recipe can carry generations of knowledge. A loaf of bread can tell the story of a region. A bottle of wine can reflect a landscape, a climate, a family, and a way of life. For years, we have sought out foods, wines, and ingredients from farmers, producers, artisans, and winemakers who approach their work with intention and care. We believe that anything worth putting in your body should have a story behind it.

Our Approach to Hospitality

We are students as much as cooks. We love learning. We love teaching. Most of all, we love sharing what we discover with others around the table.

Traveler’s Table is guided by curiosity.

We draw inspiration from the movement of people, ingredients, traditions, techniques, and ideas across cultures and generations. Some dishes may feel familiar. Others may introduce you to something new. We believe great food begins with great ingredients. That’s why we seek out farmers, artisans, winemakers, fishermen, producers, and makers who care deeply about their craft.

Whenever possible, we prioritize seasonal ingredients, responsible sourcing, and products with a sense of place. Our menu is not tied to a single country or culinary tradition. Instead, it reflects the foods, flavors, stories, and discoveries that inspire us, always filtered through our own experiences and hospitality.
